• We will be at Chicago Indoor Racing for our “whirlyball” event (which is called Cybersport there.)  Arrival 6:15-6:30 pm  {2381 W Army Trail Rd, Addison, 60101}

(Army Trail Rd., 1/3 mile West of I-355, turn South onto Meadow Rd., first Bldg on left.)

• WE WILL BE EATING a delicious family style dinner at 6:30pm. Cost is $20.(Cash bar)
• You DO NOT HAVE to play “whirlyball/cybersport” if you do not want to but let me know either way. You are allowed to watch and make fun of the players as you see fit. Oak Park HOG is picking up the fee for the court rental.   Games will start at 7:45-8pm.
• There are also pool tables, darts, etc to play and cool indoor go kart racing to watch with an option to race for a small fee depending on availability. (We can talk about racing more later.)

Information for fellow fans of safe riding -
The Riders Edge Skilled Riders Course (SRC) is designed for riders that have a minimum of 1 year or 3000 miles of riding experience and seasoned motorcyclists looking to hone their skills. The core curriculum for this class is provided by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation® (MSF) with additional materials provided by Harley-Davidson’s Rider’s Edge® program. The SRC provides critiqued and coached practice for experienced motorcycle riders using their own motorcycles (or, you can use one of our Buell® Blast® motorcycles for an additional fee.)



The SRC is a one day course (approx. 8AM to 6PM) with a minimum of classroom time (expect 90% riding and 10% classroom.) The Rider’s Edge® SRC compliments our New Rider Course and is intended to enhance your skills in the following areas: risk management, low speed manuevers, control at low speeds, stopping quickly, stopping quickly in a curve, multiple curve maneuvers and more.
This course normally costs $95 but Illinois Harley Davidson’s Riders Edge program has offered this course to our Oak Park HOG Chapter members for $50.  AND After completion of the course, participants can submit a form to HOG National for compensation of $50 for completing a motorcycle safety course.  What a bargain!

At the last two Oak Park HOG Chapter meetings I have announced this opportunity.  There are now three dates offered to us because of such great interest of our members to hone their riding skills – way to make a Safety Officer proud.

For those that signed up (and those interested in signing up) you can bring your checks for $50 to the March Oak Park HOG Chapter meeting.  I will have forms for you to complete for registration at that time.

If you haven’t done so already, renew your membership at the Chapter Meeting March 18, 2010, 7:30 pm at ILLINOIS HARLEY-DAVIDSON and bring a friend.  Chapter meetings are open to anyone interested.  Download a printable Membership Form at www.oakparkhog.com or pick one up at the Dealer anytime during regular hours.   We now have just over 100 members which makes us one of the more intimate and friendly HOG Chapters around.  Stop in.  New and returning members are always welcome.
